How do you write your blog as a beginner?

How do you write your blog as a beginner?

Based from my experience.

I've been asked about my blogging process and whether it's straightforward.

Typically, I write my blog during my leisure time when I have some downtime and don't have other commitments.

My approach begins with jotting down notes about recent events and my thoughts before crafting sentences and paragraphs. To illustrate, consider one of my most popular blog posts:

FACING MY INSECURITIES

As an example, let's take a look at one of my most well-received blog posts titled "Facing My Insecurities," which I wrote on September 9, 2023. This piece originated during an idle moment in the early hours of the morning, around 2 am to 3 am. Faced with boredom,I wanted to use my energy for something useful, so I started thinking and writing about my insecurities.

I was indeed feeling insecure and I wanted to take a step beyond that and know what I should do to prevent myself from feeling insecure so I helped myself by making steps on how to not feel insecure.

I began my writing process by taking notes and listing the tasks I needed to complete. This helped me organize my thoughts. I continued by typing out my feelings and experiences. Additionally, I conducted research to see what strategies worked for others, although most of my blog content is based on personal experiences.

What's particularly meaningful to me is that I enjoy revisiting and reading what I've written. It's like revisiting those experiences, and I've dedicated my blog to my future self. I may or may not have many viewers or readers, but I'm certain that the first person to read it will be my future self. I'm confident that I'll be pleasantly surprised to see how I've been able to create and maintain these blogs.

Writing these blog posts has become increasingly effortless as time goes by. It feels like I'm finding a way to express myself, and this blog post has become my personal space, even though I'm sharing it with everyone. It's a platform where I can share what's happening in my life, almost like an online journal.

As I move forward, after taking notes and composing paragraphs, there are several things I make sure to check before I post:

1. Is is a high quality content?

While it's rooted in my perspective, I strive for top-notch quality.

2. Is it both clear and engaging?

I aim for readability and clarity, using proper grammar and simple language, although I do enjoy occasionally incorporating more complex words.

3. Is it relevant to my chosen topics?

I make it a point to ensure that my blog posts align with the themes I typically post. Although given my diverse blog categories like travel, food, self-reinvention, and rants. All my content revolves around the idea of self-discovery and reinvention, which isn't always a straightforward journey. It began with my fitness journey, expanded into positivity, and recently, my skincare journey. Looking ahead, I hope to explore additional topics that contribute to my personal growth. Consequently, I take care to ensure that each blog post I publish is not only relevant to the chosen theme but also meaningful to my audience.

4. Do I maintain consistency in my posting?

I put in the effort to stick to a regular posting schedule, despite having a wealth of thoughts to share. I'm committed to the idea of posting regularly, with a potential frequency of 2-3 times a week.

5. Is my blog appealing?

Although I find my content satisfactory, the website's aesthetics could use some improvement. Unfortunately, website development can be costly but I hope someday, I would be able to afford it.

6.Is it socially engaging?

Would people comment on it or not? Give their point of view and insights.

7. Originality - Of course, everything I put here is original since this is from my own experience. When in the future, there would be an instance that It would be inspired from someone else. I would definitely put credits to the owner.

I typically proofread my content two to three times after completing the initial draft. The time it takes to write a blog post varies; longer posts can take me around 30 minutes to an hour, while shorter ones are completed in 15 to 20 minutes.

Regarding the question: "What do you use in saving your notes?"

I use notepad and google docs for me to easily save it and then delete if after it has been posted. I first put notes on my phone notes when I can’t use my laptop/pc then I choose to put it google docs and then start from there. I rephrase it on notepad and then on a second page, I put the rephrased blog and then I compare. Then I proof read it and review. Most times, I come to another rephrasing and it comes to a 3rd part but most often it stays on the 2nd page.

So that's all about how I write my blog post. As I continue to write and refine my content, I look forward to the ongoing adventure of self-discovery and reinvention. Thank you for joining me on this journey, reading, and helping me along the way. If you ever have questions or insights to share, please feel free to reach out. Happy transformation!
