Honest opinion about Cubo De Bernardo
Cubo De Bernardo is a bed and breakfast located in Silang Cavite, offering a provincial life staycation. Here's my honest experience from our stay on September 30, 2023:
- Staffs are so nice & helpful! You can't say anything about them because they give you their 100% excellent service
- They offer four rooms, and initially, we opted for the largest one. However, after experiencing some discomfort and itchiness, we decided to switch to another room. Interestingly, our cousins, occupying the other two rooms, also encountered similar itchiness. Opting for a different room seemed to be the solution. Unfortunately, the next morning, we discovered that, we got a lot of bites!!
- It was exclusive but since there was two exclusive room. We can hear the music/sound from the other room. Thankfully, none of us brought speakers, so the sounds wouldn't contradict.
- We've allocated a total of 6,000 pesos for our group of six, which covers the accommodation and breakfast—a fantastic deal. However, we contemplated adding a videoke session for an extra 1,000 pesos. Unfortunately, considering the cost and the time limitation (videoke allowed only until 10 pm), we decided against renting it.
- The staff kindly informed us that the bonfire would be available for use after 8 pm. Impressively, they went the extra mile by personally visiting our kubo's to let us know that they were about to light the bonfire, ensuring we could fully enjoy the experience.
- The personal experience in Cubo De Bernardo is 3/5, experience with the caretaker/staffs are 5/5
- While the availability of free water was a nice touch, there was a problem when one of us discovered mold in their cup. Promptly, we notified the staff, and they efficiently addressed the issue. They checked the water dispenser and assured us that they would thoroughly clean it to maintain the quality of the water.
- We kind of wanted some privacy but none of the rooms have locks on it and there was a cctv just across the swimming pool that really is invading our throughout experience. I understand that CCTV is a must however we felt that its placement could have been more discreet and professional to better respect the privacy of guests.
- We wanted to believe the bites could be just part of nature but unfortunately, I have experienced some different near to nature travel which was way better than Cubo De Bernardo.
- Utensils and plates are available to use and there we're counters there beside the water dispenser.
- There is a free wi-fi in the place however it doesn't reach our kubo.
- In terms of online inquiries. They answer fast unlike other place so I commend them for that, They are very responsive and fast to answer.
So this was my experience in Cubo De Bernardo. Over all, I love how their staffs and caretaker did their best to provide the best service however Cubo De Bernardo itself needs a lot of improvement especially given that they are trending in social media and seems to have spend some ads to be shown more online. The place is instagrammable however cleanliness in a place is also essential. I wouldn't recommend Cubo De Bernardo. I rated this as 3/5 and their staff for 5/5. Given that we spent 6,000 on it. We could have simply chosen a better staycation with a better view and a better experience.
I also personally think, based on reading reviews online, that their non-exclusive kubo's are better. It seems like the experience with them would be much better compared to us who took the exclusive one.
